Zero skis are made with the finest materials available, ensuring a one-of-a-kind skiing experience.
The structure of the skis is composed of:
Graphite:the layer which is in contact with the snow, with a low friction coefficient, in order to maximize the fluidity performance
Ultra-thin layer Hrc 48 hedge race
Reinforced fiberglass - bi-axial and unidirectional fibers with carbon
Melamine or phenol sidewalls
Wood Core in poplar and okoume
Titanal: double titanal layer for higher stability while turning
Zero artisans can apply any type of material to satisfy each customer's tastes and desires. For the 2012 collection the materials being used are 24 carat gold, the finest quality of rosewood and a particular type of cauchou for the absolute best fit possible.
Zero collection is composed of 3 types of geometries:
Race carver, for those who enjoy skiing on the slopes.
All mountain, for any kind of tracks, on the slope and off track.
Free ride, for extreme experiences, just off track.
Grip on the snow must be perfect on every ski. One of the feature of Zero skis is the alternation of materials which guarantees a perfect grip on any track and on any snow condition.
The choice to use the sandwich technique applying the most performing materials allows to guarantee a longevity such that tests have shown only minimal deviations even after extremely high exposure. The structure of a Zero ski does not show any discernible wear, even after been used intensively for more than 450 days.
Each Zero ski is equipped with race running surface.
This surface makes the skis agile and at the same time extremely durable.
Zero exclusively use stone grinding process, which consists in smoothing the base of the ski through diamond tips, creating a pattern which helps to increase the fluidity on the snow.
